The biomes of Scorched Earth are filled with dangerous new creatures, and the intrepid survivor will find that many of them can be tamed. Your best option for producing your own oil is to tame a couple of Dung Beetles. What is the easiest way to get oil in Ark? The resource is easy to find in the ocean because of the black streams that float up to the surface. Oil can be mined with either a Stone or Metal Pickaxe in the ocean.
Oil can also be produced by Dung Beetles by placing Feces in its inventory. On Scorched earth, Collect oil by Pressing (E) Onto A oil jug bug, or finding an Oil Vein. Oil can be obtained by harvesting the Oil deposits found in the Snow Biome, Underwater, or by Killing Basilosaurus, Leeches, and Trilobites.
